Car hits Saskatoon house after man blows stop sign

A Saskatoon house was hit by a car after a man blew a stop sign early Friday morning.

It happened just before 1 a.m. in the Silverwood Heights area at the intersection of Russell Road and Adelman Road.

Police say a northbound driver raced through a stop sign and hit another vehicle.

The force of the collision totaled one car and put the other into the side of a house, causing several thousand dollars in damage.

A 59-year-old man who was driving the northbound vehicle was arrested for impaired driving. The driver of the other vehicle, a 65-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.
