Canada Post says lockout backlog should be over

There's buzz around Regina that there could still be some delays in mail delivery.

News Talk Radio has been hearing that some people are either getting older issues of magazines or missing others.

John Caines with Canada Post says they cleared out the lockout backlog already.

“Probably the middle to late July. In the smaller centres, it was cleared up sooner than that. The major areas, like Toronto and Montreal and possible Vancouver, all took a little longer.”

Caines does admit there still could be a few pieces of mail straggling behind.

“We can open up a case and see if there’s an issue with their mail. If need be, we can actually track their mail for a while just to see if there are any issues with their delivery.”
