Regina man charged with assault for punching cab driver in face

Assault charges have been laid against a Regina man after a cab driver was punched in the face.

The assault happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday night on 5th Avenue near Wascana Street.

Timothy Desjarlais was charged with assault with intent to steal and possessing a small amount of drugs.

The cab driver wasn’t seriously hurt and nothing was taken.
