P.A.’s Stewart at national amateur golf tournament in Winnipeg

Prince Albert golfer David Stewart is in Winnipeg getting ready for the Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship.

Stewart is scheduled to tee off for his first round, Thursday and is currently in completing his practicing rounds.

The 25-year-old Prince Albert resident will compete against a large field of 233 players from all over Canada and from other countries like the United States, Korea and Australia.

Stewart has won the last two May Day Masters tournaments at the Cooke Municipal Golf Course in Prince Albert and won the Saskatchewan Amateur Championship in 2008.
