Building This Summer – Remember the ReStore

Aug 3, 2011 | 1:33 PM

Prince Albert Habitat For Humanity ReStore is a building supply store that accepts and resells quality new and used building materials.

In conjunction with Riverbank Development Corporation, we generate funds to aid in the costs of building new homes for Habitat For Humanity housing projects, while reducing the amount of new and used materials that are heading for overflowing landfills. We are an environmentally friendly store that makes sense!

What can I expect to find?

* windows

What can I donate to the ReStore?

You can donate new and reusable building materials such as the items listed above. Acceptance of donations is based on current store stock, so please call ahead to see if we have room in the store for your donation. If you are unable to fit larger items in your car or truck, call the ReStore at 306-763-7463 and we may be able to arrange for a time to pick up your items free of charge.

Retailers and manufactures are strongly encouraged to donate end-of-line, scratch and dent, discontinued inventory, and paint mis-tints and customer returns that otherwise may end up in landfill.

Can I volunteer at the ReStore?

Volunteers are an integral part of our ReStore success! Consider volunteering at our store and help fund the building in our community. For more info contact Trevor Wilson manager at 306-763-7463 or e-mail at restorepa@yahoo.ca. The ReStore is located at 911 Marquis Road in Prince Albert.

On May 25, 2011 eight teachers from Riverside School volunteered at the ReStore and accomplished a great deal of work. Thank you for your tremendous support!
