RCMP have assumed a man who went missing by Smeaton has drowned.
They said they received a call about the missing 31-year-old at 4:50 p.m. on Saturday.
He was river-water rafting with a group of 10 adults on Torch River, east of Candle Lake. The group was drifting down the river from Highway 106. He dove into the water and did not resurface.
RCMP searched the area by land, water and air and have found nothing. With the river flowing at a high rate and the strong current they assume he has drowned.
