Brad Wall promotes investing in Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall is speaking at a Pacific Northwest Economic Region (PNWER) meeting in Oregon Tuesday night, trying to drum up interest and investment in the province.

PNWER is comprised of north-western states and provinces. Given that the bulk of their focus is building the region's economy, Wall says it makes sense the group is holding a meeting in Saskatoon next year.

“I think it shouldn’t surprise anybody that PNWER decided Saskatoon is the right place for their major economic summit next year,” said Wall.

He also admits he'll be encouraging investment in Saskatchewan.

“Our government has worked very hard to do that. PNWER, the Pacific Northwest Economic Region, of which we are a member, the energy council, our trade missions in places like India and Bangladesh, they are all aimed at making sure we continue or economic momentum,” said Wall.

Wall is also off to a meeting of the Council of the Federation Wednesday, where he'll spend the rest of the week.
