Update: Woman killed on northern highway

A young woman is dead after being hit by a vehicle north east of La Ronge.
Cory Ecarnot, with La Ronge EMS, said at about 12:30 a.m. they responded to a call about a pedestrian being struck by a car.
It happened just north of the Stanley Mission Junction, northeast of La Ronge, on Highway 102.
The woman, 20, from Southend was pronounced dead on the scene.
Ecarnot said this is not an incident of drunk driving. The investigation in ongoing.
