PAEX buds new exhibit categories

The Agriculture and Horticulture Section of Prince Albert Exhibition is offering news ways to compete at this year’s summer fair.

Among the new categories is underwater flower arranging, as demonstrated by Rick Andrusek during an education session for curious competitors Wednesday afternoon.

Also new is Think Pink a category to raise awareness of breast cancer. The colour pink will dominate this floral arrangement.

To try and keep people involved even though they might not have a garden, a category was added for people to arrange flowers they have purchased at Safeway.

For details on all of these categories as well as ones from fields people can check the 2011 Hall Prize Book available through the Prince Albert Exhibition office at the fairgrounds.
