Dan Morin of Regina fired a three-under 69 and is the first round leader at the Saskatchewan Men's Mid-Amateur golf championship.

Defending champion Torrie Coghlin of Saskatoon and Candmus Delorme are tied for second place after shooting two-under 70 on Tuesday in Loydminster.

Prince Albert Martin Ring is three shots back after carding an even round 72.

Melfort's Judy Sefton sits in third place after 18-holes in the ladies event.

The top four men qualify for the Canadian championship, while the top four women earn a spot on team Saskatchewan that will compete at nationals.
