Kinsmen Club Bringing the Portraits of Honour Tour to Prince Albert

Jul 13, 2011 | 11:01 AM

The Portraits of Honour National Tour is rolling across our country and will be in Prince Albert August 22nd thanks to the Kinsmen Club of Prince Albert.

From big cities to the smallest of towns, the POH tour is making an impact on Canadians. The outpouring of patriotism, emotion and support for our Canadian Forces is overwhelming.

Donations are starting to roll in and that means we'll be able to provide financial assistance to the troops and families who need our help.

The goal of the Portraits of Honour National Tour is to raise millions that will support programs and charities that support the men and women who proudly serve in the Canadian Forces and their families.

It’s hard to imagine the incredible emotional toll that faces a family when they learn of the loss of their loved one. All too often, this also translates to incredible financial stress.

The Portraits of Honour fund will help to ease the burden of those who have already provided so much. Be it a military family left behind or an injured Canadian Forces soldier, sailor or aircrew, Portraits of Honour is dedicated to providing financial support that will help.

Our troops made the choice to protect and care for those who needed their help.

Now it’s time for you to make a choice … a choice to protect and care for the soldiers, sailors and aircrew and families who now need our help.

Please donate whatever you feel appropriate knowing that every dollar will make a difference. Donations in excess of $25 will qualify for a Canada Revenue Agency charitable tax receipt.

Please telephone 519.843.4745 to make a donation.
