Child hit in crosswalk

A 4-year-old girl was hit by a car over the lunch hour today.
Emergency services responded to a call in the crosswalk in front of Gateway Mall.
The child was immobilized as a precaution and was taken to Victoria Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to Parkland ambulance the girl was in the crosswalk at the time of the accident.
Police are continuing to investigate.
