Mediator in teacher dispute has report deadline extended

A mediator's work is not done just yet in the dispute between the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation (STF) and the government’s bargaining committee.

The government has extended the deadline for the special mediator working to resolve the dispute.

Richard Hornung was originally supposed to file a report by June 30. It's now being extended to July 8, this coming Friday.

No reason is given in the government news release as to why that extension is needed.
