Fatal ATV collision near Bulyea

A collision between two ATV’s claimed the life of a 24-year-old from Bulyea over the weekend.

At around 3 a.m. on Sunday, Southey RCMP were called to the collision that occurred near Bulyea on Highway 20.

Two ATV’s that were being driven by two men had stopped on the highway to wait for the third ATV that was being driven by a woman. The ATV driven by the woman collided with one of the ATV’s that had stopped.

EMS transported the woman to hospital in Regina and was later declared deceased.

Charges are expected to be laid under the All terrain vehicle Act. All three drivers were not wearing helmets.

Next of Kin has been completed but permission from the family to release the name of the deceased has not been received by the RCMP.

Bulyea is located about 70 kilometers north of Regina.
