Body found in Regina’s Wascana Lake

Regina police were called to Wascana Lake Monday morning after a body was discovered floating in the water.

The discovery was made around 9 a.m. by some people walking along the path at the north end of the lake almost directly across from the Legislature.

All anyone seems to know right now is that there was indeed a body floating in the water this morning.

It came as a surprise to park maintenance crews who were in the area only half an hour before cleaning up from this weekend's fireworks.

“Something kind of bubbled up on the water,” said Stacy Bradley who was out jogging with her friend when police started to arrive.
