Wrong number printed on Regina Folk Festival posters

A mix up that slipped by Regina Folk Festival staff has resulted in an awful lot of phone calls for one unlucky local man.

The festival's latest round of posters and hand bills had a wrong digit in the phone number listed for ticket sales. Calls have been going directly to someone's cell phone instead.

“He was very nice, very accommodating,” festival artistic director Sandra Butel said.

“He is going to update his voice mail so he won't have to answer those calls,” she added, laughing.

While it's an inconvenience for that unlucky person there hasn't been a problem at the box office.

“The majority of our people are buying tickets on-line so it hasn't had any significant impact on ticket sales.”

She says the error is being corrected and the festival has offered the man free passes to the August event for his trouble.

Those looking to buy tickets over the phone can call the Globe Theatre box office, which is facilitating sales, at 525-6400.
