Canada Day and a Full Summer of Fun at Prince Albert National Park

Canada Day celebrations in Waskesiu, Prince Albert National Park!

Located just 90km north of Prince Albert, Waskesiu is a short drive for visitors coming for Canada Day or for the weekend festivities. We invite visitors to celebrate Canada Day with us and offer free entry to the national park.

Canada Day Activities

8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Pancake Breakfast at Community Hall
9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Bike Decorating & Face Painting for children near the tennis courts
12:00 p.m. Parade begins!!
1:30 p.m. Cake Cutting Ceremony and Flag Raising at the Visitor Centre
2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Mantracker, filmed in the national park, is showing at Terrace Gardens
3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Family Beer Gardens near Community Hall with live music and food concession

Great programs for kids, youth, and family all weekend long – Hikes for Tykes, Art in the Park, and Little Women of Waskesiu.

Weekend Feature Program: Floating Campfire. 7:00 p.m. Saturday Night, at the Waskesiu Breakwater.

Explore Excursions is in Waskesiu for Canada Day long weekend!

These adventure specialists offer kiteboarding demonstrations, slacklining stations, and stand up paddleboards for use by visitors. Watch for them near the Main Beach, Waskesiu. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to try something new!

Calling all kids! Get ready to start exploring Parks Canada places!

New this year… Parks Canada Xplorers – a new club for kids focused on FUN… where kids can collect cool Xplorers souvenir dogtags at all of Parks Canada Saskatchewan locations. Head north to Prince Albert National Park or south to Batoche National Historic Site for the day and start exploring!
