Spray Parks Open and Waiting for You

Jun 12, 2011 | 4:03 PM

Four out of five spray parks are now open for business.

The Bernice Sayese Centre, Parkland Community Club, Miller Hill Park and the Westview Community School each have spray parks in operation.

The fifth Spray Park, located at the Midtown Community Club, is currently available by bookings only and can be booked by phoning 953-4816. This Spray Park will be open for public use on Monday, July 4th, 2011, in time for the City’s annual Playground Program.

Recently, the City started moving away from the use of paddling pools and instead phasing in the more interactive and sanitary spray parks.

“Rather than managing paddling pools that are essentially pools of standing water, we are adopting the spray parks through out the City,” said Jody Boulet, Recreation Manager for the City of Prince Albert. “Our long term objective is to have spray parks at each of the community club locations.”

The locations of the Spray Parks are:
Bernice Sayese Centre – 1301 13th Street West
Parkland Community Club – 1510 9th Avenue West
Westview Community School – 620 McArthur Drive
Miller Hill – 200 MacDowall Crescent
Midtown Community Club – 540 9th Street East
