Saskatchewan Roughriders throw hail mary for QB Terrelle Pryor

Jun 8, 2011 | 6:53 AM

The University of Ohio State Buckeyes loss could be the gain of the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The Buckeyes star quarterback Terrelle Pryor has decided not to return for his senior season after a scandal led to the NCAA handing him a five game suspension to start next season and also led to the resignation of Head Coach Jim Tressel.

The Roughriders are part of this story because they have placed Terrelle Pryor on their negotiation list, which means the Roughriders are the only team Pryor can negotiate with if he decides to play in Canada.

A source tells News Talk Radio that the Roughriders have reached out to Pryor's representatives but no contact has been made.
