Free Evening of Entertainment at E.A. Rawlinson Centre for the Arts

Twice a year, the E. A. Rawlinson Centre extends an invitation to the community to attend a free event in celebration of the upcoming entertainment season.

On June 6 at 7 p.m. the Fall 2011 Season will be launched.

Thirty minutes of live entertainment with Eileen Laverty and her band will start off the event. Eileen Laverty is well known for delivering heart-rending ballads and her comfortable stage presence. She has performed across Canada and Ireland entertaining all ages with her upbeat messages, strong vocals, and heartfelt lyrics. She has toured with internationally renowned artists Mary Black, John McDermott, Tom Cochrane and Kenny Rogers.

Her track record includes a Prairie Music Award for Outstanding Roots Recording, several songwriting accolades, and numerous radio and television appearances.

To date, Eileen has released two independent CDs which continue to draw praise at home and abroad. Her music is featured in film and television programs, and appears on several compilation CDs celebrating Canadian Folk Music.

Following the performance, Annual Sponsors and Advertisers will be recognized for their significant contribution to the quality programming at the E. A. Rawlinson Centre.

At 7:45, the Fall 2011 Entertainment Season Preview will be shown on the big screen. All of the artists performing in the next season will be introduced with video clips, photos and information. We have a great new season to unveil plus one additional show featuring a star of television, the stage and the big screen.

After the preview, coffee and dainties will be served. A cash bar will also be available. Sale of subscription series will commence after the preview. Single tickets will go on sale on June 20.

Everyone in attendance at the Season Preview Event will have a chance on a free door prize draw for the winner’s choice of 6 shows in the Fall Series.
