International Youth Exchange Program Needs Hosts

In September 2011, Canada World Youth and Prince Albert will welcome 18
youth volunteers from across Canada and Nicaragua for 3 months. Aged 18 to
24 years, these youth volunteers will contribute over 4000 volunteer hours
to local events and organizations in the community. They will come with an
array of backgrounds, work experience and/or various levels of
university/college.

We are looking for Prince Albert families and individuals to be part of this
unique experience by becoming hosts to our youth volunteers. We invite
people of all ages, ethnicities, ancestral backgrounds, faiths, genders,
sexual orientations, family types, and more to share their daily lives with
our young volunteers.

HOSTING FACTS

* Youth will stay with their hosts in pairs, one Canadian volunteer and
one Nicaraguan volunteer, from September 23 to December 18, 2011
* Youth volunteers should be included as family members, not guests or
tenants
* One spare room is all that is required
* Two experienced project supervisors will be supporting the program
* Hosts receive a weekly allowance of $168 to help cover costs
