Annual General Meeting Minutes

May 3, 2011
1. Rick Sawa agreed to remain as spokesperson for another year and Meryl Wood will stay on as Treasurer.
2. Meryl presented the financial statement.
3. Plans were firmed up for the CETA presentation by Maude Barlow, National Spokesperson for The Council of Canadians, and Terry Boehm, the President of the National Farmers Union, set for 7:00 PM at JMC Public Library on May 31.
4. The following dates were set for the main activities organized by the PA Chapter:
A) Slow Food Potluck—October 21 with guest speaker Cathy Holtslander, the Director of Policy and Research for the National Farmers Union. Cathy will speak about the Peoples’ Food Policy Project.
B) Peace Rally—December 4
C) World Water Day—March 22
D) Earth Day—April 21
5. Meeting Place—it was decided to continue to hold Chapter meetings at Great Western Coffee on the first Thursday of the month.
6. Next Meeting: September 1, 2011
