A man is dead and an area has been evacuated after a chemical spill near Neilburg, Sask., west of North Battleford, near Alberta boarder.

Around 6 a.m. RCMP were called to a single-vehicle rollover involving a tanker truck carrying anhydrous ammonia.

The southbound truck lost control and rolled into the ditch.

A 59-year-old man, from Cut Knife was found lying about five feet from the vehicle surrounded by vapors from the leaking ammonia.
