Two new defensive backs for Saskatchewan Roughriders
The Saskatchewan Roughriders picked up two defensive backs — Jamar Love and Jeremiah Weatherspoon — while also cutting another, Courtney Robinson, along with kicker Warren Kean and offensive lineman Bart Archdekin.
Love comes to the Riders from the NFL where he played for a number of teams during the last two seasons. The 24-year-old was last an undrafted free agent with the New England Patriots. He also played four season at Arkansas, completing his career with 77 defensive tackles, eight special team tackles and three quarterback sacks.
Weatherspoon, 24, was with the Calgary Stampeders last season, but also went to mini camps held by Cincinnati and New Orleans. He played four seasons at Florida International University, finishing college with 172 total tackles, two forced fumbles and five interceptions for 47 yards.
