A man from the Laird area has died after a vehicle hit a slough north of Saskatoon Tuesday, said the RCMP.
Mounties were called to the scene north of Waldheim on Highway 312 just after 7 a.m.
They say the man's SUV left the highway, drove through a field before plunging into a dugout filled with water.
Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services were called in to recover the victim from the sunken SUV.
