Death of 16-year-old boy an apparent homicide
Regina police continue to investigate the death of a 16-year-old boy whose body was found in the city’s North Central neighbourhood.
Police spokeswoman Elizabeth Popowich said an autopsy will be conducted Monday, but it appears the teen was murdered.
“We’re using the term ‘apparently homicide’ pending the results of the autopsy because until we have as much information as can be gleaned from that post-mortem examination, there is always a possibility that it is something other than what it appears,” she said.
The victim's name will not be released due to his age.
