Death of boy found in van in Regina considered suspicious

Regina police say a three-year-old boy's body was found in a van in the 200 block of Halifax Street on Tuesday night.

Officers were alerted to the situation by a caller who reported just before midnight on Tuesday that someone might be dead in the vehicle.

Police, EMS and firefighters responded to a house where the van was parked in the back. The boy was located and EMS confirmed he was dead.

He has been identified, but his name is not being released by the police at this time.

An autopsy has been ordered and the death is considered suspicious.
