A body has been pulled from the flooded Wascana Creek near Regina's dog park, north of the airport area.

Police have confirmed it is the body of an adult male.

Upon arrival at the scene just before 5 p.m. on Friday a body could be seen lying under a white sheet at the side of the flooded Wascana Creek. It lay in the grass just off 13th Avenue, west of Lewvan Drive.

According to multiple reports the body was pulled from the water around 4 p.m. by the Regina Police Service dive team. A boat had been brought out to the scene due to the deep flood waters that have overtaken the area. There was a significant police presence nearby, blocking off the road and turning pedestrians, motorists, and cyclists away.
