Students (practice) vote
Apr 19, 2011 | 12:49 PM
Students at Carlton Comprehensive High School marked an X for their candidate today at their parallel election.
Students filed to the voting booths and cast their ballots for actual federal candidates in the Prince Albert riding as part of Elections Canada’s Student Vote initiative.
Student vote is meant to increase students’ knowledge of and interest in politics before they even reach the voting age.
The students go through the voting process exactly as they would in a real federal election.
