A Prince Albert Parkland Ambulance employee has been given some provincial recognition for her work as a Telecommunicator.

Saskatchewan 911 Center staff presented Jill Stefanick with the the Telecommunicator of the Year award on Wednesday evening at the Provincial Telecommunicator’s banquet.

Stefanick was nominated for the award by Brenda Dutchak, the operations manager for the Parkland Ambulance communications center.

In her nomination letter, Dutchak described Stefanick as going above and beyond the call of duty.

“Jill has a lot of passion for her job and she’s very good with new employees so we have actually put her in the training supervisor position,” Dutchak said.

She said Stefanick has a lot of patience “will go out of her way to teach them the best way to do things.”

Dutchak said she is an asset to their company.

“Jill is an eight-year veteran of the Parkland Ambulance communications center and an exceptionally talented individual.” Lyle Karasiuk, Parkland Ambulance director of public affairs, said.

“Jill is one of our trainers in the communications center and excels each and every day delivering the first class service that Parkland Ambulance is recognized for in our wide area of telecommunications.”
