Suspect in stand-off and hit and run appears in court

The man involved with the Steele Bay lockdown has made his first appearance in provincial court today.

Leslie Brian Samoleski, 43, is facing several charges related to both the stand-off and the death of 14-year-old Montana Netmaker.

He's facing charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death, criminal negligence in the operation of a motor vehicle causing death, failing to stop at the scene of an accident and possessing a firearm in a manner dangerous to the public as well as several other charges related to firearms.
