Parkland Ambulance – The Power of a Respectful Workplace Seminar in Prince Albert

Apr 14, 2011 | 8:07 AM

Yesterday was pink shirt day where a number of businesses and groups are wearing “pink shirts.”

Parkland Ambulance proudly supported the event by wearing pink buttons for the day.

While most bullying prevention is directed to our school and community we still need to
create respectful workplaces.

Parkland Ambulance believes strongly in that vision and in doing so, we promote a workplace where everyone is spoken to with dignity and respect.

Parkland Ambulance has partnered with the Red Cross to have “The Power of a Respectful
Workplace” Seminar in Prince Albert.

The Power of a Respectful Workplace – With Respect
Are you experiencing an unhealthy work environment – for example, displays of harassment, bullying and/or “inappropriate” behaviour? Poor workplace behaviour causes employees and managers stress and anxiety, whereas respectful work environments are healthier, more productive and more likely to attract and retain quality employees.

Attend this half-day workshop and learn how you can help create a more respectful environment at your place of work.

With Respect Workshop
• May 4th, 1:00-4:00pm
• Parkland Ambulance Care, 555-13th Street East, Prince Albert
• $75.00 per participant.
Space is limited to 30 participants. Don’t miss out, register today!

Presenter: Norm Jakubowski
Norm is the Provincial Leader for RespectED: Violence and Abuse Prevention in Saskatchewan. Norm worked in the education system for 32 years before joining the Red Cross five years ago.
