To Save a Life News

Life for the TSAL team has been a little calmer lately so there has been time to catch up on phone calls and e-mails.

The trip to Southend has been postponed until May so we have a bit more time to plan and travelling conditions will be better also.

A number of follow-up trips were made over the past weeks as team members support the agencies in the communities as they work with young people who are reaching out for help as a result of the To Save A Life Event.

It is increasingly evident to all involved that this is so much more than just showing the movie. Lives are being touched and at risk youth are taking the courageous and difficult step of saying “Help me”.

It is critical that the support be there in the days, weeks and months after the event brings the issues out of the dark corners.

The team members who took the ASSIST training have been able to guide a number of youth to a life affirming choice and local agencies are increasing programing to provide ongoing support
for all who are working through challenging times.

Remember it can all start with a conversation and really listening. Positive change is occuring!
