Empowering Women – Workshops to Empower Women Who Have Witnessed Interpersonal Violence

The Empowering Women pilot project is an 8 week program for Women who have witnessed interpersonal violence. The program will focus on the following objectives:
Building self confidence and self-esteem in women who have been invovled in abusive relationships
Address issues of the cycle of violence
Develop a safety plan
Empower women to make healthy choices in relationships

Deadline for registrtion: April 15th, 2011
April 18th –June 20th, 2011
Fee: $80.00/person.
Location: Catholic Family Services
Payment due prior to enrollment.
Maximum of 15 participants.
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the program due to low enrollment.

Week 1 – Introductions and safety planning.

Week 2 – Cycle of Violence:
-Different types of abuse
-hostile aggressive behaviors in relationships.
