Drivin’ North KidSport Charity Golf Tourney Needs Sponsors

The 2nd Annual Drivin’ North KidSport™ Charity Golf Tournament, to be held on Friday, May 27th, 2011 at the Elk Ridge Resort and they need sponsors.

This will be the second year the event will take place and the goal is to help raise money for both Prince Albert and La Ronge KidSport™ Committees.

Over 200 participants and volunteers are anticipated to attend this fun-filled event in support of a great cause. This year’s event will feature members of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and other sport celebrities.

KidSport™ is a children’s charity dedicated to assisting children of families facing financial obstacles to participate in community sport programs.

In Prince Albert and La Ronge, KidSport™ is voluntarily administered to support children in our community to participate in sports.

Funds to support the program are raised through various fundraisers and all funds raised in this tournament stay in our community.

Last year, both committees sponsored over 1,367 children, totaling more than $78,000 in funds. In essence, KidSport™ believes in an ounce of prevention.

If all children are given the opportunity to play, and with it, the chance to learn self-respect and gain self confidence, then those children will have a better chance of becoming contributing members and leaders in our community.

In order for us to reach our event goal, we require the financial support of team participation and sponsor contributions.

Your valuable contribution will help us reach our goal, enabling us to provide funds to support KidSport™ in Prince Albert and La Ronge. KidSport’s™ goal is to ensure that all kids, regardless of their economic situation, have the opportunity to play their favorite sport.

The Drivin’ North KidSport™ Charity Golf Tournament is open to all individuals and businesses in Prince Albert, La Ronge and surrounding area, as it’s a great venue for team building and meeting new business colleagues.
