The Power 99FM Spinoza Bear initiative gives each recipient child the cuddly comfort of Spinoza, the 45-cm tall talking teddy bear.

This gentle speaking friend provides significant therapeutic and educational benefits. For kids who are dealing with physical pain and mental trauma, Spinoza is a great comfort.

Spinoza helps children relax and promotes self-esteem at a time when they really need it.

Spinoza “speaks” or “reads” with a built-in disc player and speaker. The CD’s are prepared by leading child psychologists and creative educators. CD’s can also be customized to meet the needs of individual children. The gift of Spinoza includes audio CD’s, the “Legend of Spinoza” storybook, and a
Spinoza video.

General Guidelines for Spinoza Allocation

Age 2-9 years old (possibly older depending on the presence of developmental delays).
Children suffering from illness, mental or physical trauma, family crisis, impending medical procedures, emergency comfort from fire or accidents.
Healthcare professionals as an assessment, teaching and training tool
Esteem, positive reinforcement, companionship, adjustment to hospitalization/disability/illness.
