Kody McDonald didn’t have a big red star on his calendar to mark the occasion when his Prince Albert Raiders would face his old team, the Prince George Cougars. In fact, he forced himself to not think about it.

Despite a 3-2 overtime victory over the Medicine Hat Tigers on Saturday night, the mood was grim around the Prince Albert Raiders after 20-year-old forward Regan Nagy left the game late in the third period with a lower body injury.

Fonstad becomes first Raider since 2001 to score at Top Prospects Game

Prince Albert Raiders forward Cole Fonstad put himself rare Raider company on Thursday in Guelph, Ont., at the 2018 CHL/NHL Sherwin-Williams Top Prospects Game.

He became the first player in the last 17 years to score a goal in the Top Prospects contest.
