PBCN members gather to take over urban band office

Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation urban members gathered to take over the urban band office in Prince Albert on Thursday.

A handful of band members were outside of the office with signs calling for a re-election of certain band council members.

Local First Nations struggle with flooding

Water continues to threaten the main access road at James Smith Cree Nation, north of Kinistino.

Residents have been sandbagging and hauling truckloads of gravel to keep the water at bay.

"It affects a large number of the homes," said Colin King with Government Relations.
