Canadian Government reaches $177 million settlement with Black Lake, Fond du Lac

Two Saskatchewan First Nations have reached a settlement in a long-running treaty dispute with the federal government.

The provincial government confirmed dollars were set aside to help complete an all-weather road to Wollaston Lake and the Hatchet Lake Denesuline Nation. The Ministry of Highways says it is now up to the federal government to approve a funding package, which would see the road constructed.
