A semi driver is in hospital after his rig got caught on some train tracks and was struck by a train. RCMP tell News Talk Radio that it happened Tuesday afternoon The 41-year-old was driving across the tracks on Highway 15 west of Yorkton, at Jasmin with a load of bales.
The situation on Saskatchewan highways Wednesday morning was poor. The Highways Hotline was not recommending travel for much of the province, especially in the west. It's all thanks to ice-covered roads, blowing snow, reduced visibility, slush, icy sections and snow drifts.
