Two Miles for Mary helps seniors travel

Two Miles For Mary is another huge success.

A Radio-a-thon on 900 CKBI this morning raised more than $26,000 for the Seniors Transportation Program.

There was also a surprise donation this morning from the Prince Albert fire fighters – a brand new car.

A man who was hit by a vehicle east of Prince Albert Monday night remains in hospital.

The incident happened near the old Pulp mill site shortly after 8 p.m.

Police say it appears the man from Sandy Bay was standing on the road surface when he was hit by an eastbound vehicle.

Candlelight vigils for missing and murdered aboriginal women around the country shed some light on disturbing numbers in Saskatchewan.

A report from the Native Woman's Association of Canada (NWAC) shows Saskatchewan has more then it's share of cases.
