Hockey team pulls together after fatal accident

When the West Hill Pewee Two Sharks hockey team were heading to Swift Current for a tournament on Jan. 28, their bus t-boned a van on highway 11.

The driver of the van died.

Roger Parenteau is the team’s coach, and was sitting right behind the bus driver when it happened.

Police looking for robbery suspect

Police have released a photo of a person wanted for questioning in connection to an attempted robbery at a Mac’s convenience store on Thursday morning.

Police say the male attempted to get money from the store’s cashier just before 10 a.m., but left empty handed.

Early fire destroys SUV

Prince Albert Fire Department was called out to the scene of a vehicle fire in the early hours of this morning.

One truck, with four fire fighters, responded to the unit block of 27th Street East at 4:30 a.m.
