Collecting for donations for a fire-struck family

Donations are being collected for a family who lost their home in Timber Bay last week.

According to relatives, Aaron Halkett and his cousin Carmella died in the house fire. They had eight children between the two of them.

Three people were left homeless.

Stretcher push raises funds for Children’s Hospital Foundation

Looking more like a soapbox car with its bicycle tires and custom steering, drivers on Highway 11 this afternoon slowed down to get a look at a stretcher being pushed along the side of the road by a team of rollerbladers.
