Fire department responds to Christmas tree fire

It seems the Grinch still wants to get rid of Christmas.

The Prince Albert Fire Department responded to a fire at a pile of Christmas trees early this morning.

At about 2:30 a.m. they were alerted to the fire at River Street near the boat launch.

Quite the site

Constuction equipment is on the banks of the South Saskatchewan river.

Trucks began hauling more than 200 thousand tonnes worth of material to the new St. Louis Bridge site, today.

This marks the beginning of construction on the south bridge approach off of Highway 2.

Rivier opens its doors to boys

Rivier Academy is going co-ed.

Starting in the fall, it won’t just be kilts filling the halls. Grade 9 to 12 boys will be walking around in their black pants and ties.
