1953 – 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a wonderful lady, Jean Goranson. She grew up in the Howard Creek area of the RM of Paddockwood and was a farm girl at heart from the start. Taking care of numerous farm animals, working in the fields and planting gardens, Jean knew what hard work was. She loved being outside and in her younger years she enjoyed skiing, canoeing and camping. Jean was also a practical joker and had lots of fun pulling pranks on people. After her children were older, she worked in the Prince Albert CO-OP Bakery for many years, then at PRT Tree Nursery, as well as Provincial Parks in Candle Lake before retiring. Despite hardships in her life, Jean was a stubborn survivor and always kept going. No matter what happened she always cared about everyone, especially her family, and loved to visit with her grandchildren and her great-grandchild. Jean’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Paddockwood Elks Hall, Pastor Nora Vedress officiating. Interment to follow at Howard Creek Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Funeral Home, Carla Jesso, Funeral Director.
