July 30, 1984 – July 22, 2017
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden death of our beloved son, partner and father Christian Lucier. Christian was born July 30, 1984 in Prince Albert. Chris came into the world a beautiful, bubbly baby who immediately captured our hearts. Chris attended school in Prince Albert and made Prince Albert his home for most of his life. Although Chris was employed in various parts of Saskatchewan and Alberta, this was always home. For Chris, family came first and he demonstrated a strong dedication and devotion to them. He was so excited at family events and was the first person to give you a hug and tell you he loved you. As Chris became a man he was blessed with three beautiful daughters. Mercedes was born first and Chris could not be prouder to have this precious baby girl. Then came Arianna who Chris adored as soon as she was born. Jada Rose is the youngest baby who Chris loved with all his heart. His children were the light of his life. Each daughter he had was exciting to him and there was no love greater than Chris’s for his daughters. Chris enjoyed quadding, snowmobiling, sports, music, and most importantly spending time with family. Chris faced many challenges in his life with great courage and determination. Our son was a special, sensitive young man who took on the burdens of the world. He really tried to make the world a better place and he did that every day by being the special person he was. Chris leaves to mourn his mother Janice Henry (Daryl Simmonds), father Floyd Lucier (Verna Gray), Barbara Korecki (life partner), his three precious daughters: Mercedes McLeod Lucier, Arianna McLeod Lucier (and their mother Delma McLeod), and Jada Rose Korecki Lucier( his and Barbara’s daughter) , his special aunt and uncle: Jane & Clifford Smith and family: Darren, Diana, Taylor, and Brandon Smith; John, Jennifer, Caitlin, and Hailey Smith; Harold, Evelyn, Keith (Kim), Kevin, and Kerry Henry; Aunt Barbara Tetarenko (Ed Senger), Setania (Mike), Arysia (Trevor), and Kyle. He also leaves behind his half siblings Justin Evans and Tamara Tolofson. Chris was predeceased by his grandparents Alfred and Aline (nee Slater) Henry; his paternal grandmother Rosa Stavely; and his aunt Edith Henry. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, with Father Travis Myrheim presiding. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.grays.ca
