A 47-year-old woman has been moved to the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton with life-threatening injuries, following an assault on Sunday.
Marlene Darlene Bird was found by the Prince Albert Police Service after 10 a.m. on Sunday after they were called to the 1200-block of First Avenue West.
According to police, someone picking up bottles in the area noticed Bird and found someone else who made the call to police.
Bird was transported to the Victoria Hospital initially and, once stabilized, was sent to the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon.
She is still suffering from life-threatening injuries, but police will not specify on other details.
The Prince Albert Police Service is asking for any information on what happened prior to the assault. If anyone knows Bird or what she was doing during the days leading up to the incident they can call police at 306-953-4222 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
