Django Unchained

John Wayne meets Kill Bill, “Django Unchained” is another Tarantino masterpiece. The acting is superb; the dialogue is clever and comical; and the fight scenes are second to none. It is no surprise to me that this movie was nominated for five Golden Globes, and I am pretty sure it will have a spot on the Oscar’s Best Picture list.

What I like most about Tarantino, is his attention to detail. Every scene, every character, every song used in this movie is carefully planned out. Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L Jackson, and Leonardo De Caprio all deliver amazing performances.

While leaving the theatre, I overheard a lady comment on how good the movie was once you get past all the gore. There is a lot of blood and guts in this movie., but really it is to be expected from a Tarantino movie. I loved this movie and will definitely be adding it to my blue ray collection.

My only criticism of this movie is that it is a bit long(almost 3 hours), so if you cannot handle lengthy movies, you may want to wait for the DVD release.
