One man dead after head-on collision north of PA

One man is dead after a fatal vehicle collision Sunday evening.

Just before 9 p.m. Sunday night Parkland Ambulance Paramedics responded to a head-on two-vehicle collision on Highway 2 north, near the White Star turnoff.

One male driver was pronounced dead on the scene.  Paramedics cared for the other male driver and transported him to hospital in good condition for further care.

Due to the accident traffic on Highway 2 north between Township Road and White Star Road was re-routed for about four hours.

A RCMP traffic re-constructionist is currently on scene to assist with the investigation.

The cause of the incident is not yet known.
