Huge Success for PA Sharks Swim Club

Prince Albert Sharks swim club went to the Junior Provincial Short Course Swimming Championship with a lot of ambitions and returned back with a lot of success!

Nine swimmers from PA Sharks participated in JP swimming championship  from 9-13 March 2018 in Moose Jaw.

The swimmers achieved more than 20 medals from every colour, 3 “AA” and more than 18 “A”  times and setting new personal best times.

Camryn Cooling Achieved her first “AA” time ever and qualified to the provincial  championship. Liam Murphy added 2 more “AA” qualifying times.

Highlights from the Junior provincial short course championship:

  • Camryn cooling: 1 Gold, 2 silver and 6 Bronze. She came first in 800 free and achieved ‘AA” , Second in 50 back & 200 Free,  third in 400 Free, 200 Back and third place in the relay races.
  • Liam Murphy: 5 silver and 1 Bronze. second in 100 ,200, 800 Fr, 100 Back,100 Breast,  Third in, 200 IM and the relay races
  • Andrew Harris,  1 Silver in 100 fly and one bronze in 50 fly and the third place in the relay races.
  • Luthar Wiberg: 1Silver in 200 Breast and third place in the relay races.
  • Mackenzie Emery: 5th in 100 fly and 200 free, sixth in 200 fly and 800 free. Third place in the relay races.
  • Ava Helgason: achieved “A” time in all events.third place in the relay races.
  • Dani Bboisson: Achieved 3 “A” times, 6th in 100 Breast, 8th in 50 Breast, and 50 Free. third in the relay races.
  • Mackenzie Naytowhow: achieved  “A” times and personal best times. Third place in the relay races.
  • Hunter porelle: best personal times and third place in relay races.

Relay races:

  • Girls 11-12 years old: 4×50 Free, third place
  • Boys 12-13 years old, 4×50 Free third place
  • Mixed 12-13 years 4×50 Free r, third place
  • Boys 12-13 years old, 4×50 Medley, third place
  • Mixed 12-13 years 4×50 Medley , third place

We are pleased with our swimmers results and performance. The club offer a Variety of programmes to meet the kid’s potentials and ambitions not only on the competitive level but also on the recreational level. We still have spaces in the Little Nippers group and Cadets Group too. Any new kids are more than welcome in PA Sharks swim club
