Prince Albert Parkland Health Region Volunteer Service Opportunities for the week of September 11^th, 2017

The Volunteer Services Department of the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region is in need of caring, compassionate and committed volunteers to fill the following service positions:

Emergency Department Volunteer Navigator – Victoria Hospital

Volunteers provide navigational assistance to families/visitors of patients in the Emergency Department. Evening shifts available for those who work during the day.

                    Shifts: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.; 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.; 3:00 p.m. – 6:00p.m., Monday – Sunday: Once or twice per week.

Meals on Wheels – Home Care Prince Albert, Birch Hills, Kinistino, St. Louis

Adult volunteers are needed to assist with delivering meals to Home Care clients.

Shifts: 11:15 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Lab Services Center – Prince Albert

Volunteer greeters assist patients and family members arriving for tests at the center in the South Hill Mall. These volunteers put patients at ease and ensure they are in the proper location to be called for their tests.

Shifts: 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Monday – Friday: Once per week

.Patient Information (Greeter) – Victoria Hospital

Duties include directing patients and visitors to the various departments for treatments, tests, x-rays, or to other destinations in the hospital.

Shifts:  9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. or 12:00 – 3:00 p.m., Monday – Friday

Patient Navigators – Day Surgery – Victoria Hospital

Patient Navigators improve the experience for surgical patients by ensuring they are in the right place at the right time. 

Shifts: 6:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.; 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
